The Resuscitation Training Team provides clinical training and an internal consultancy service - to ensure that staff and patients are safe.
Our core work
- Clinical training
We provide training sessions for all staff working within Waitemata DHB who are required to attend resuscitation training. Our focus is ensuring clinical staff have the skills and knowledge they require to provide quality care for patients, that is, care that is effective, efficient and safe.
Audit and support for staff in clinical emergencies
We audit the resuscitation equipment to ensure we are always ready for a clinical emergency. In addition to this we attend clinical emergencies to support staff and provide coaching, as needed.
Clinical equipment and facilities
We input into decisions on the purchase and maintenance of clinical training facilities and equipment.
We use our knowledge of current best practice for resuscitation to influence policy at Waitemata DHB to ensure staff and patients are safe.
